This "unpressed" or "on-demand" book is a chance to create a synthesis beyond the "olde dialectics, beyond a "politically neutral" textbook. The main proposition here is that children need to feel happy, confident, competent, skilled, in fully expressive motions and emotions.
Most important, I can ask you, the reader, to think along with us in many different way, about the following two questions (which could, of course, be 20 or 212 more):
How might children use their motions and emotions, their movements, skills and feelings, to get into the infinitely flexible and joyfull grooves of life?
How might drumming, singing, dancing, dramatizing, playfull ngoma and groove (see Chapter 18), stand-up comedy, improvising poetry, and so forth and so on help our children recognize, question, resist techno-media, and imaginatively reshape the boxed discourses and stale to deadly ideologies they will encounter during their lives?
We, humanity, desperately need generations of happy children turning the dismal science of eco-nomics into the joyous science of eco-logy, the dismal and deadly nonsense of current geopolitics into the joyous sensuousness of decentralizing toward human scale and unmediated face to face communitas.
